As promised in my previous post, I am here to tell you how to take care of chemically-treated hair especially Reboned, Extenso or Keratin treated.
But first, Remember!
- Its a 3-4 Hour long procedure so go for it in the morning to noon so when you come back you are not sleepy cause hair need time to adjust to new texture, bends can distort the hair texture which causes waves
- When you sleep make sure your hair are straight
- Don't tie your hair
- Don't wash for three days after treatment
- Don't make them wet for three days, don't let sweat come in your scalp so get the treatment when the weather is not humid
- Don't dye hair for coming three months as they already treated with loads of chemicals you don't want them to break or become rough
- Use only trusted products
- Take lots of care of your hair!
Tips:
- Use cold water for washing hair (not ice cold, but regular cold)
- The less you shampoo your hair the more better it is, if your hair doesn't become oily after one day then don't shampoo everyday
- Use Organic Shampoo/Conditioner/Hair Cream for at least three months. Organic products contain least amount of chemicals, they don't harm your hair. You can use:
- The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Range of Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Cream (You can see review in my earlier post)
- Label.M Treatment Range
- If your don't want to go for organic shampoos you can use:
- Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Shampoo
- L’oreal Professionnel Liss Ultime Shampoo
- Conditioner for daily use and Hair Cream for thrice a week is a must
- If you feel your hair are becoming rough and getting split ends, use shampoos for repairing damaged hair best is L'Oreal Expert Absolute Repair Cellular range, you can also try:
- Dove Intense Repair range
- Pantene Nature Fusion range
- Tressme Split Hair Solution range
- After taking Shower comb your hair straight with a wide-tooth comb
- Oil your hair at least thrice a week as hair need more nutrition for repairing their cells, you can use Almond oil as it is rich with Vitamin-E or Mustard oil if your hair are very dry
- Eat food that has more Iron to restore hair's strength
- Use Serum, you can try:
- Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Magic Anti-Frizz Shine Serum
- Loreal Expert Liss Ultime Reflexium Serum
- Avoid usage of heating tools for hair e.i. blow dryer, straightener, curling rods etc
- Avoid direct sunlight on your hair
- Keep hair safe from environmental factors
- Use Hair masks once a week
- Use hair protein twice or at least once a month
